Everything old is new again

A blog? Seriously? In 2026? Yes, I know - These days it’s more fashionable to give your content over to some platform so they can place it in their walled garden. I know there’s this trend of people taking ownership of their content, but that is usually a metaphor for placing it on Substack or Patreon. Me? I’m going old-school. And since I’m an engineer, that means using a static site generator and GitHub Pages. So far, Astro seems pretty cool.

Let’s see if I keep this up for more than a few weeks.
